My name is Georgia Barry and I'm a Bachelor of Communications graduate, majoring in journalism at RMIT University Melbourne.

My current skills involve feature writing, hard-news writing, shooting and voicing TV packages, video explainers, audio packages (such as podcast episodes), marketing and creating multimedia projects. 

 

I hope to be creating investigative documentaries in the future, as I have a particular interest in this style of journalism, and I love filming and photography.

As a relatively fresh journalist entering the industry, it's never been more important to have great and passionate journalists fighting to provide accurate and reliable news accessible to the public. With the rise of social media comes the increase of disinformation and misinformation, and it can be difficult to sift through the mountains of content that we are bombarded with on a daily basis. So, ensuring that there are always journalists was are actively fighting to provide dependable news is so important, and I hope to be able to achieve throughout my career.
